Brands we fit

We carry a wide range of brands, so we can match your car and your budget instead of pushing one label.

Not sure what size you need?

Send us a WhatsApp photo of the label on your current battery, or just your make, model and year. We'll confirm the right size and give you a price for each level. We fit all the common car and bakkie sizes, including EFB and AGM batteries for start-stop and newer cars.

Mercedes, BMW or Audi?

Many premium cars have a second, smaller auxiliary (backup) battery as well as the main one. If your dash says "auxiliary battery malfunction", we test and replace those too. More about auxiliary batteries.

Warranty claims: we're on your side

If a battery you bought from us gives trouble, bring it in with your invoice. We test it for free and, if it's faulty, we handle the warranty claim with the manufacturer for you, right here at our counter.

Making a claim costs us nothing, so we have no reason to turn you away. Where a claim is fair, we push it as far as we can on your behalf. If the battery turns out to be only flat, or something else is causing the problem, we'll show you the test results and explain why.

Why drive to us rather than wait for a mobile van?

Proper workshop, fully insured

We work from our own premises at 173 Vasco Boulevard with full liability insurance. Your car is fitted on site with the right tools, not on the side of the road.

In and out in 15 to 20 minutes

Fitment, a full battery test and a charging system check usually take 15 to 20 minutes. Standard fitment is free; complex fitments that take longer may carry a labour charge, which we'll tell you upfront.

Many brands, honest advice

We're not tied to one manufacturer. We stock well-known brands and our own hand-picked value range, and we'll tell you if you don't need a new battery at all.

Electronics done right

Memory saving during fitment, BMS resets on start-stop cars and fault code clearing, so your car's systems stay happy.

Can't drive in? We come to you

Call-outs across Cape Town's northern suburbs and surrounds, including Century City, Richmond and Burgundy Estate, with the fee depending on distance. WhatsApp us your location and vehicle and we'll sort it out.

Fleet cards welcome

We supply most leading fleet providers, including Avis, ABSA, Eqstra, WesBank, Nedfleet and more.

Common questions

How do I know if my car battery is dying?

Slow cranking, dim lights when starting, warning lights on the dash, or a battery older than three years are the usual signs. A free test takes a few minutes and tells you for sure.

How long does a car battery last in Cape Town?

Usually three to five years, depending on the battery, how far you drive and how many electronics the car has. Short trips and start-stop systems shorten battery life.

My car has start-stop. Does it need a special battery?

Yes. Start-stop cars need an EFB or AGM battery and a battery management system (BMS) reset after fitment. We do both.

Do I need to bring my old battery?

Prices are normally quoted with your old battery handed in for recycling. If you don't have one to hand in, the price is a little higher. We'll tell you upfront.
